Technoids.com has been online on an Apple iDevice for over 2 years
Technoids.com was first installed on a one year old heavy used Apple iPod Touch 2G in June 2009. That iPod Touch 2G was retired in September 2010 and Technoids was installed on a iPod Touch 4G. In March 2011 Technoids.com was installed on an Apple TV 2G and the iPod Touch 4G was used as a backup server.
For over 2 years Technoids has been online with 99% uptime connected to my Rogers home Internet, with over 20,000 page views.
Side note: The original iPod Touch 2G ex server is still used for music, video, games and Internet access. Although Apple hardware is relatively expensive the quality is excellent.
Being in the computer business for over 35 years now; I am still amazed that I could setup a $99 24/7 server using less then 6 watts of power on a low bandwidth line and have it deliver content reliably to the Internet.
